Jessica Roeder
From YRN
Jessica Roeder is an Ohio-based youth rights activist and former member of the NYRA Board of Directors. She resides in Marion, Ohio. She originally took an interest in the concept of youth rights in first grade, believing that there had to be a more effective, equal and student-friendly way to learn than the authoritative school system. She learned about NYRA in 2006, and was glad to find she was not alone in her ideals. Since then, she has worked on forming a NYRA chapter in her hometown whose goal is to abolish the town's curfew, and has written essays on different aspects of the issues affecting youth rights. She was elected to the Board in 2007, but was not re-elected in 2008.
